Whether you are new to adult education and are at the front of the classroom, or you’re a seasoned facilitator, this course is exactly what you need to show up in the class and offer the ‘wow’ experience.

This Continuing Education Program offers 20 ICF CCE’s. The Coach Approach to Facilitation Curriculum workbook is included and meals and snacks are provided during the 3 day workshop.

About the Course

Teaching coach training skills can present some unique challenges. How do you instruct/facilitate:

  • Without telling
  • Attitudes and beliefs about ourselves and others
  • Mental and verbal skills using social learning strategies

In this workshop you will learn the coach approach to facilitating skill-based learning blended with social learning theory, using coaching skills rather than traditional facilitation strategies. In the end it all happens in a unique social space, co created by the facilitators and the learners. This blend is the unique secret sauce we use at Royal Roads University and in our Essential Impact programs. It is a challenging and fun shift for even the most experienced facilitators.

Reviews

“Have done a lot of facilitation and many things were familiar but it was all integrated for me and brought to another level of possibility.

Marj’s style and approach is edgy but courageously takes people to places they never thought they would be. What a powerful gift.”
Bob Nogue, Coach – Trainer – Facilitator, Dharma Enterprises Inc

“What I learned in the workshop was how to intuitively ask questions and allow the client to form their own answers without my rushing in to ‘fix’ the problem. The facilitators were professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic to my situation. As an added bonus, I was able to connect with other highly professional like-minded attendees that added enormously to the enrichment of the experience.”

“This was a trustworthy, principled model of coaching to follow. The supportive, creative, often light-hearted teaching style provided an excellent learning environment. The valuable materials opened up many possibilities.”
– Past participant

“A simple framework to practice a very powerful leadership skill and way of communicating which will make a tremendous positive impact on each individual, the leadership team as a whole, and cascade down to each staff member and customer.”
