SUMMARY:Coach Approach to Facilitation
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are new to adult education and are at the front of the classroom\, or you’re a seasoned facilitator\, this course is exactly what you need to show up in the class and offer the ‘wow’ experience. \nThis Continuing Education Program offers 20 ICF CCE’s. The Coach Approach to Facilitation Curriculum workbook is included and meals and snacks are provided during the 3 day workshop. \nAbout the Course\nTeaching coach training skills can present some unique challenges. How do you instruct/facilitate: \n\nWithout telling\nAttitudes and beliefs about ourselves and others\nMental and verbal skills using social learning strategies\n\nIn this workshop you will learn the coach approach to facilitating skill-based learning blended with social learning theory\, using coaching skills rather than traditional facilitation strategies. In the end it all happens in a unique social space\, co created by the facilitators and the learners. This blend is the unique secret sauce we use at Royal Roads University and in our Essential Impact programs. It is a challenging and fun shift for even the most experienced facilitators. \n\nReviews from Past Participants\n” The instruction was engaging\, thoughtful and fun! I look forward to continuing to hone my skills as a coach and to deepening the relationship with my network of coaches.”\n– Matthew Smedley\, Deputy Director  \n“I really enjoyed the opportunity to be with everyone; to share coaching experiences\, play and further my relationships and further my conversation with Essential Impact.”\n– Review from past participant \n“Learning about the EI approach and having it reinforced all week was really powerful learning. Wonderful opportunity to connect with a fine community of people.”\n – Bob Nogue\, Coach\, Trainer and Facilitator

SUMMARY:Mentor Coaching – 5 Group Calls & 3 Private Sessions to Complete 10 hours of Mentor Coaching (May - June) Timezone: MST
DESCRIPTION:Essential Impact has developed a mentor coaching package to address a new requirement by the International Coach Federation (ICF) for more support\, structure\, and quality control to mentor coaching. This offering provides the 10 hours of mentor coaching that are a requirement for coaching certification. The total number of group mentor coaching sessions equals seven hours (this is accepted by ICF as mentor coaching hours). Each participant also receives three hours of personal one-on-one coaching. \nThis offering is open to graduates of the Excelerator Mastery Workshop (5 day) or Excelerator™ Essentials Workshop (3 day). \nGroup Calls\nSign up to participate in five group calls where you will take turns coaching each other and listening to coaching sessions. The program is led by Ed Temple\, an Essential Impact associate coach. Personalized coaching feedback will be provided to the coach when coaching by the facilitator. This supports learning and development for the coach and the group. \nEach session will be taped so you can review your coaching skills and feedback. \nSpace is limited to 10 participants to ensure everyone has a chance to coach and receive feedback. \nThe group conference calls will take place on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 AM MST starting May 15th and running until June 26th. The first four group teleclasses are 90 minutes with the last teleclass taking place on June 26th for 60 minutes. See the schedule below: \n– May 15th: 9-10:30am MST\n– May 29th: 9-10:30am MST\n– June 5th: 9-10:30am MST\n– June 12th: 9-10:30am MST\n– June 26th: 9-10am MST \nIf you have to miss a group coaching call\, you will be given the opportunity to listen to the recording and submit a written feedback report for approval. If a second call is missed then the participant is required to make up that call with one-to-one coaching which will be billed at $150 per call. \nPrivate Coaching\nThis coaching also includes three private one-on-one coaching calls with Ed Temple. \nPrivate coaching calls can be scheduled between group calls or within three months of the program commencing. We will work with you to find a mutually agreeable time. \nDuring the private coaching sessions\, you will coach a person of your choice while your mentor listens. After the coaching session\, your coach will give your private verbal and written feedback on areas you did well in and what could be improved. \nWith the three one-on-one individual mentor coaching sessions\, there is an expectation that at least one of the calls with your mentor coach be a coaching feedback session\, where the mentee coaches for 30 minutes. A mentor coach feedback conversation follows to complete the hour. The other two sessions may be used for coaching\, mentor coaching\, or coaching feedback sessions. \nFeedback from Past Participants\n“The calls were very well facilitated. Great sense of community built by the facilitators in just those few calls.”\n– Matthew Smedley\, Executive Director\, Mission Possible \n“It totally helped me get back in the coaching mode. It helped me become more aware of the importance of being fully present and asking key questions.”\n– Grace Fox–Author\, Speaker\, Co-Director of International Messengers Canada \n“I had been exposed to some coach training through another organization but Essential Impact took the training to another level. My coach and I have had a number of 1:1 sessions. She’s a fantastic coach and a great mentor! I am currently coaching 4 individuals and I have seen first-hand the benefits of having a coach to those individuals and to our organization.”\n– Anonymous Review \nAbout the Mentor Coaches\nMentor Coaches are trained by Essential Impact and are ICF certified. \nMentor coaches have hundreds of hours working with new coachees who are perfecting their coaching skills with goal of becoming ICF certified. SUMMARY:Mentor Coaching - 5 Group Calls & 3 Private Sessions to Complete 10 hours of Mentor Coaching (April - June)
The program is led by Molly Edge\, a highly trained mentor coach and coach training facilitator\, along with Robert Gray\, an Essential Impact associate coach and experienced facilitator. Personalized coaching feedback will be provided to the coach when coaching by both facilitators. This supports learning and development for the coach and the group. \nEach session will be taped so you can review your coaching skills and feedback. \nSpace is limited to 10 participants to ensure everyone has a chance to coach and receive feedback. \nThe group conference calls will take place every second Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 PM starting April 10 and running until June 5th. The first mentor coaching teleclass on April 10 is 60 minutes. The following four group teleclasses are 90 minutes. \nIf you have to miss a group coaching call\, you will be given the opportunity to listen to the recording and submit a written feedback report for approval. If a second call is missed then the participant is required to make up that call with one-to-one coaching which will be billed at $150 per call. \nPrivate Coaching\nThis coaching also includes three private one-on-one coaching calls with a coach of your choice. \nPrivate coaching calls can be scheduled between group calls or within three months of the program commencing. \nOnce you select your preferred coach\, we will work with you to find a mutually agreeable time. \nDuring the private coaching sessions\, you will coach a person of your choice while your mentor listens.
